Jacki Piper signing 'The Carry On Companion' at the Birmingham NEC
I met Jacki Piper at Memorabilia held at the NEC in Birmingham in March 2009.  She was really friendly and we had a chat about the Carry On films.  She signed my poster and also my Carry On book.  She told me that the book's author, Robert Ross, was also there and so I was able to get him to sign my book as well!

Jacki Crump was born in Birmingham in 1948. She trained at the Birmingham Theatre School and made her name as a stage actress.  She thought that her birth name wasn't quite suitable as a stage name, so she has been Jacki Piper ever since.   She has

Her first film role (uncredited)was as Roger Moore's secretary in The Man Who Haunted Himself (1970), quickly followed by Doctor in Trouble (1970) where she is a cockney girl who begs a lift from Leslie Phillips.
Jackie was given a three year contract by Peter Rogers, producer of the Carry On films after she had made her first one, Carry On Up the Jungle (1970).  In this, Jacki plays June, maid to Lady Evelyn (Joan Sims) whose baby son, lost in the jungle, has grown into a loincloth-clad Jungle Boy (Terry Scott) who becomes the object of June's affection!
