I met the lovely Carole Ashby at the NEC in Birmingham in November 2006. where she was one of the guests at the Memorabilia show.  She signed my 'Allo! 'Allo! book for me.
She has had small roles in two James Bond films. She was one of the 17 Octopussy Girls in Octopussy (1983) and, two years later she appeared in A View to A Kill (1985).  She appears near the start of the film as the Whistling Girl, a cabaret artist with her butterflies, in the restaurant of the Eiffel Tower, where Bond (Roger Moore) and French detective Aubergine are having dinner.
Carole Ashby was born in Cannock, Staffordshire, in 1955.
